The long queues in front of Huynh Hoa’s “bread” shop have long become a familiar scene in every afternoon. The shop is located on 26 Le Thi Rieng, District 1, just a short walk from Ben Thanh market. Huynh Hoa “Banh mi” has been operating for more than 30 years and is known as the most “expensive but delicious” bakery in Ho Chi Minh City up to the present time.

Foodies and loyal customers are always willing to pay at least 3 USD for a “bread” with layers of cold cuts, meat, pickled vegetables, sliced cucumber, white radish, cilantro, chili and soy sauce. What makes Huynh Hoa “bread” on the list of most desired dishes is the unique mayonnaise. This dish is often said to be extremely delicious, meaty and nutritious.

The store is open daily from 9am to 7pm. During peak hours from 2pm to 5pm, it takes up to 30 minutes to order and receive bread.
